Scholarships Available to Other Seniors

Scholarship amounts vary from year to year based on availability of funds. 

A copy of the completed Living Memorial Scholarship application is required for each scholarship. Only one copy of the student transcript is required for the packet of Living Memorial Scholarship applications submitted.

Requirements/Restrictions:

  • applications of current seniors are due to counselor's office by March 1st

  • see specific requirements below for each scholarship

  • scholarships with ** after the name may need a separate page attached to explain applicant's qualifications for that particular scholarship (i.e., for Arel Johnston LMS **, attach a separate page with a paragraph explaining interest and involvement in music.)

  • any dishonest statement made in the application will disqualify the applicant

  • if applicants do not meet requirements, a scholarship may not be given.

Bogard Alumni Living Memorial Scholarship​

  • current Carrollton High School Senior

  • good school citizen, highly motivated towards post secondary education

  • established by the Bogard class of '59 to pay tribute to Bogard High School which closed in 1980 

    • on application, indicate connection to Bogard school, if any​

Columbia Insurance Group

D. Arlo McNary Living Memorial Scholarship

  • must be dependent child of non-temporary employee of Columbia Insurance Group, who has a minimum of one year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date

  • must be high school senior or graduate who plans to enroll, or student who is already enrolled, in full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school; courses must be applicable to a degree or certification and must be taken for college credit

  • selection criteria includes:

    • past academic performance and future potential​

    • leadership and participation in school and community activities

    • work experience

    • career and educational aspirations and goals

    • school official's evaluation

  • recipients of awards may reapply if the following criteria is met:

    • the continued employment of the employee, retirement excepted​

    • satisfactory academic performance (3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale) in a full-time course of study

    • a maximum of four cash awards will be granted to any one student

Higbee, Missouri

Higbee Alumni, Bottoms Living Memorial Scholarship

  • graduating student of Higbee High School

  • applicant with highest cumulative GPA for 7 semesters of high school

Martha Ann Cockerham Living Memorial Scholarship**

  • current Keytesville or Westran High School Senior

  • must be working while attending high school

  • consideration given to applications whose parents have not completed college

Lucian & Loena Porter Family Living Memorial Scholarship

  • no restrictions

Moberly, Missouri

W. Jason & Guy S. Wright Living Memorial Scholarship**

  • current Moberly or Westran High School Senior who has been active in music classes (does not have to be a music major)

  • must demonstrate qualities of good musicianship, citizenship, and scholarship

  • consideration given for financial need is secondary to the above requirements

    • might want to attach a separate page with a paragraph to explain how requirements are met​

Bill Vanderhoff Living Memorial Scholarship**

  • Moberly or Westran graduating senior

  • preference given to student majoring in agriculture or health field

  • consideration will be given for financial need

Jennifer Riley Cox & Birdie Riley Living Memorial Scholarship

  • current Moberly or Westran High School senior

  • preference given to students with special needs that are moving on to higher education or job/life training

  • consideration given for community service and GPA

Orville & Marjorie Price Living Memorial Scholarship

  • must be current graduating senior in Randolph County

  • preference given, but not limited to, law enforcement majors and culinary food services

  • consideration given to scholastic achievement, community service, and extracurricular activities

  • renewable (must reapply)

Huntsville Horse Show Living Memorial Scholarship

  • must be a resident of Randolph County

  • must be a senior

  • must be a good citizen

  • consideration given to financial need

  • consideration given, but not limited to, equine studies and/or involvement

    • might want to attach a separate page with a paragraph to explain financial need and/or equine involvement​

Dyanna Hackett Living Memorial Scholarship (NOT available in 2020)

  • all Randolph County graduating seniors are eligible

  • Salisbury or Westran senior

Janice S. Korff Living Memorial Scholarship

  • current Salisbury or Westran High School senior

  • seeking career in health care

  • must have at least 3.0 GPA

  • preference given to students active in their church
