Scholarships

Procedure for Renewable Scholarships:

  • A new, complete application with essay (if applicable), must be postmarked by the due date.

  • ​Proof of enrollment and most recent semester grades must be provided.​

  • Renewable forms are the same as original forms.

Procedure for Recipients to Claim Monies:

  • Rothwell and D. Bagby scholarship - applicants have already turned in grades and proof of enrollment with applications. Those selected to receive these scholarships will receive checks in the mail soon after the application deadline.

  • All Other Living Memorial Scholarships - 

    • The certificates presented at high school award assemblies will be the only notification to scholarship recipients. It is then the responsibility of the recipient to claim monies.​

    • For fall semester monies, if the LMS treasurer has not received proof of enrollment (i.e. printout of class schedule) by August 25, the scholarship monies will revert to the alternate. Alternates then have two weeks from the date of notification to provide the required documentation.

    • Scholarships of $500 and more are divided between two semesters. To claim the second half of the scholarship, fall semester grades and proof of enrollment for the spring semester must be received by January 25.

    • Scholarship monies will be mailed to the recipient, not the college (starting the middle of August), only after proof of enrollment and required documentation explained above has been received by LMS.
